Police: Woman shot and killed in Hyattsville, search for suspects underway

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A woman was shot and killed in Hyattsville Tuesday night, police say.

The shooting happened in the 6200 block of Belcrest Road at the Mosaic at Metro Apartments near the Prince George's Plaza Metro Station and across from the Mall at Prince Georges at around 8:30 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they say they found the woman suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter, police say.

Police tell FOX 5 they are searching for two suspects in connection to the shooting. Their description is unknown at this time.
