Police: Teen shot outside Prince George's County high school

OXON HILL, Md. - Police say a 17-year-old male student was shot in the parking lot of Oxon Hill High School on Monday evening.

Prince George's County police say the shooting happened just after 5:15 p.m on Monday at the school at the 6700 block of Leyte Drive.

According to police, the student who was shot is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Investigators say school security is working with police.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation as they work to find suspects and a motive.
