Police searching for missing woman believed to be in danger in Virginia

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - The Virginia State Police on behalf of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has issued a critically missing adult alert as they search for 43-year-old Amy Renee Fabian.

Fabian is believed to have been abducted and in danger, according to authorities. She is believed to be with George William Knisley IV, 41, of Carroll County, Maryland.

Authorities say on Friday at around 3:30 a.m. Cumberland County sheriff's deputies received a call about a homicide in the 200 block of Mount Airy Lane. When they arrived at the home, they found a man dead inside the residence. Fabian, who also lives at the listed address, was not located there, according to authorities.

The sheriff's office is investigating Knisley as a suspect in the homicide and Fabian's disappearance.

He is believed to have left the home driving a stolen 2002 white Ford F-350 work truck with "Alleghany Industries" displayed on the side. The truck's Maryland license plate reads 22L 231. Authorities say it was reported stolen on May 23.

On Friday, the South Hill Police Department received a call from a woman who says a male subject, who authorities say matches Knisley's description, threatened her at gunpoint and stole her 2012 Honda Civic with Virginia license plate LAR 64.

Fabian is described as a white female who is 5'8" in height and weighs around 124 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

Knisley is described as a white male who is 5'10" in height and weighs around 175 pounds. He has brown hair.
