Don't be alarmed if you happen to see a passing snow flurry Monday morning. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says it's just winter's way of saying goodbye! The hit-or-miss showers won't leave behind any accumulating snow and will be very scattered across the D.C. region with most of the area not seeing any activity at all.
By the afternoon, Thomas says, most of the precipitation will be gone leaving behind a mix of sun and clouds with seasonable temperatures near 50 degrees. The early part of the work week looks cool with warmer and milder temperatures moving in as spring arrives on Wednesday.
Here's a look at the week ahead:
Monday: Flurry or shower with mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon. Highs near 51 degrees.
Tuesday: Sunny and cool with highs near 53 degrees.
Wednesday: Spring Arrives! Sun and clouds with highs near 58 degrees.
Thursday: Spring showers! Temperatures close to 60 degrees.
Friday: Mostly sunny with highs around 57 degrees.
Saturday: Highs near 60 degrees with mostly sunny skies!
Sunday: A warm and sunny day with temperatures around 67 degrees!
