Mike Isabella's food hall in Tysons Corner closed less than a year after opening
McLEAN, Va. - A large food hall in Tysons Corner opened up by renowned chef and restaurateur Mike Isabella has closed down.
Isabella Eatery, a 41,000-square-foot space inside Tysons Galleria, was opened last December by the former "Top Chef" star.
Tysons Galleria confirmed on Friday that it was ending its relationship with Isabella.
"We are fully committed to an upscale food hall concept that compliments the luxury experience at Tysons Galleria," said Rich Dinning, senior general manager of Tysons Galleria. "Our guests embraced it and we believe our community deserves an amazing experience. In an effort to ensure that our vision carries on, we ended our relationship with the current operator. We are excited about the number of local and national restauranteurs interested in turning our vision into a new reality and will share more information soon."
The food hall is the fourth business Isabella has permanently closed after a sexual harassment lawsuit was filed against him by a former employee. Isabella would reach a settlement with the former employee.
Graffiato in D.C.'s Chinatown, Graffiato in Richmond, Virginia, and Requin in Mosaic District in Merrifield have all shut down this year.
