Metro is improving upon its promise to refund customers who experience rush-hour delays.
Through June 30, the transit system’s Rush Hour Promise program will give riders credit toward future travel if they experience a rush-hour delay of 10 minutes or more. Metro had previously offered credit for rush-hour delays of 15 minutes or more.

Officials say Metrorail’s on-time performance in September of 2018 reached 90 percent out of 13.1 million passengers, the highest level in seven years. Metrorail’s on-time performance for all of 2018 climbed to 87 percent, officials say.
Metro says since the launch of its Rush Hour Promise program in January 2018, Metro customers have received approximately $1 million in credits for trips experiencing a delay greater than 15 minutes.
The transit system also announced that beginning January 7, Metro customers will be able to bring their bikes with them on trains at any time ending restriction that prohibited bicycles during rush hours.
