Md. teen tweets that he was injured in Jacksonville shooting

- A DC-area teen tweeted on Sunday afternoon that he was struck by gunfire, after tweeting during a Madden video game competition in Jacksonville, Florida,

Drini Gjoka, who says he is 19-years-old on his Twitter page, tweeted just after 1:30 p.m. that someone had opened fire at the tournament.

"The tourney just got shot up. Im leavinng [sic] and never coming back"

Gjoka, who says on his Facebook page he went to Woodrow Wilson High School, says "the bullet hit my thumb," prefaced by saying "I am literally so lucky."

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says multiple people are dead, as well as well one suspect.

"I will never take anything for granted ever again. Life can be cut short in a second," Gjoka tweeted just after 2 p.m.

Violent footage of the shooting was captured on gaming video platform Twitch. Gamers are seen playing in the corner of the screen as gunshots ring out.

"If I havent said it before, I'll say it now. I LOVE ALL YOU GUYS."

In a press briefing held by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, authorities confirmed that they have finished clearing the landing and that there are no outstanding suspects. The deceased suspect is a white male and they are working to identify him.
