Man found shot dead in Southeast DC street; police believe shooting happened at different location

Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Southeast D.C. Officers say they were called to the scene just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving a call for a person in the street on Halley Place.

When officers got there they found the body of a man who had been shot several times.

Investigators say the shooting did not happen on Halley Place but do not know yet where the original crime scene is.

The investigation is continuing at this time.
