WASHINGTON (AP) -- District of Columbia police have identified a teenager who was fatally shot on the platform of a train station in Washington.
The shooting occurred on Saturday at about 4 p.m. at the Deanwood Metro station. The boy has been identified as 15-year-old Davonte Washington.
Metropolitan Police Department district commander David Taylor says the teen was involved in a conversation that escalated into an argument. At some point, the second person is believed to have drawn a gun and fired at the victim.
Washington council member Jack Evans says surveillance cameras at the station captured the incident.
Authorities have not made an arrest. Police are urging anyone with information to contact officials.
