First Taco Bell restaurant in DC area to serve alcohol set to open up in Old Town Alexandria

The first Taco Bell restaurant in the D.C. region that will serve alcohol is expected to open up in Old Town Alexandria soon.

Taco Bell Cantina will be opening its doors to customers at 417 King Street on Dec. 21, the restaurant chain has confirmed.

This location will differ from your average Taco Bell restaurant. These cantina locations feature a more open and modern design that not only feature tacos and burritos normally found on the regular menu, but customers will be also be able to order beer, wine and alcoholic twisted freezes.

The city council voted to approve the Taco Bell Cantina location in Old Town Alexandria back in March. It replaces a Pendleton store, which was a clothing, blanket and accessories business that closed down last year after operating on King Street more than three decades.
