FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force joins DC police in search for missing child

The FBI along with police are searching for an 11-year-old D.C. boy who has been missing since Wednesday.

Authorities say Desmond Martin was last seen at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Division Avenue in Northeast D.C.

"The FBI's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force has joined the investigation because of the juvenile's young age and is providing assistance to the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department," the FBI said in a news release.

Martin is described as a black male with a medium complexion. He has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. The 11-year-old was last seen wearing a gray hooded shirt, dark blue jeans, white Adidas sneakers and was carrying a black duffle bag.

Martin has been previously reported missing back in July, but was later found.

Anyone with information about Martin is asked to contact D.C. police at 202-727-9099 or by text message to 50411, the FBI Washington Field Office at 202-278-2000 or online at https://tips.fbi.gov.
