Falls Church jewelry heist caught on camera

- A Falls Church jewelry heist was caught on surveillance camera as several suspects distracted the store owner while a woman crawled her way toward a safe.

The Falls Church Police Department said the seven suspects entered Bach Tuyet Jewelers, also known as BT Jewelers, in the 6750 block of Wilson Boulevard at about 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Officials said six of the suspects distracted the store owner while a seventh suspect was seen dropping to her knees and crawling toward a side door.

Once in the backroom, the suspect was caught on camera pulling jewelry and cash from a safe.

The suspect was seen on video stuffing the stolen goods into a bag and hiding them under her long dress before leaving the store.

Authorities did not disclose how much money was taken during the heist.

Anyone with information that could aid detectives in their investigation was urged to call police at (703) 248-5238.
