3-year-old boy killed in Fairfax County after falling from window at apartment building, police say

FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Fairfax County police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy who fell from a window at an apartment complex, officials say.

Police say the child was with family members inside an apartment when he accidentally fell from an open, but screened bedroom window at around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Skyline Towers Apartments in the 5600 block of Seminary Road.

The young boy was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, the evidence at this time appears to show that this was an accident.
