Inmate arrested after wrongly released from adult detention center in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - Authorities have arrested an inmate they say was wrongly released from the adult detention center in Fairfax County Sunday night.

The sheriff's office says 53-year-old Donald Bernard Lewis of Washington, D.C. walked away from the facility without permission around 9 p.m. Lewis had been arrested May 18 on three grand larceny charges.

Lewis was arrested in Washington, D.C. around 9:20 a.m. Monday. Sheriff's deputies along with members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force made the arrest without incident.
