Teen boy killed, 2 men injured in DC shooting, police say

A 17-year-old teenager is dead and two others were injured in a shooting in Northeast D.C. on Friday, according to officials.

D.C. police said the shooting happened in the basement of a home in the 400 block of Riggs Road Northeast near LaSalle Elementary School at about 2:05 p.m.

Authorities said when officers arrived at the home, 17-year-old Davon Fisher and two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police say.

Detectives described the suspect as a man with a slim building standing about 5'9" tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark-colored pants and a dark-colored ski mask.

The 400 block of Eastern Avenue Northeast was closed in both directions from Eastern Avenue to Chillum Place, Northeast while detectives investigated the scene.
