Two sisters from Northern Virginia have been identified as the two victims found dead on the shore of the Hudson River earlier this week.

New York police say 16-year-old Tala Farea and 22-year-old Rotana Farea were discovered lying on the rocks near West 68th Street and Riverside Park on Manhattan's West Side Wednesday afternoon.

The victims were found unconscious and unresponsive, and there was no obvious signs of trauma. They were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

They were fully clothed and bound together with duct tape, a police source told FOX5NY.COM.

The pair apparently went into the river from the George Washington Bridge. It is unclear if they jumped or were thrown.

The cause of death for the sisters will be determined by the medical examiner.

On Thursday, police released sketches of the victims asking for the public's help for any information in this case.
