A former Charles County school assistant, who officials say is HIV positive, has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges of producing child pornography.

Carlos Bell, 30, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to 10 counts of producing child pornography involving unnamed students from Benjamin Stoddert Middle School in Charles County. He faces up to 150 years in prison in connection with these counts. Sentencing on these crimes will be on March 22.

Earlier this year in state court, Bell pleaded guilty to 27 counts of sexual abuse of a minor along with a slew of other serious crimes after being indicted on 206 charges. He will be sentenced to 190 years in prison in connection with those counts.
