Account Executive (Full-Time, Regular)
WTTG/WDCA in Washington, DC is looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join our team. The responsibilities include: work directly with ad agencies and clients to increase station revenue and shares through growing core business; sales of sports and specials, internet and new business development; achieve budgeted goals, maximizing revenue and share performance for the station and create multi-platform packages, group presentations, negotiate and close business. Must have a strong track record of increasing station revenue/share on existing business and the ability to develop new business. In addition, must have excellent communication, organization and presentation skills; possess a creative approach to multi-platform sales initiatives and thrive in a fast paced environment. Solid computer skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel and knowledge of industry software is a must. Qualifications: College degree preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced top ten market seller or for someone with 3-5 years of successful broadcast experience in a middle market to break into the top ten with a dynamic and highly rated FOX O&O. Research, write, produce content for digital platforms, and report stories, both live and taped, for newscasts & special stories. Work with producers, editors, & photographers to create and produce news stories & investigations. Local/national travel, holidays and varied hours required. Qualifications: College degree required. 5 years’ experience in broadcast TV reporting required. Must have excellent live reporting, writing, and storytelling skills. Work accurately/efficiently w/in time constraints. Proficiency with newsroom computers and related software, required. Strong social media skills required.
