WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) – Angie Goff has joined FOX 5 DC, announced station Vice President and News Director, Paul McGonagle. Effective July 8th, she will co-anchor the “5 at 4 p.m.” weekday newscast with Blake McCoy and serve as a co-host of “Like It Or Not,” weeknights at 7 p.m. In addition, she will contribute to various station newscasts and projects on all platforms.
In making the announcement, McGonagle stated, “Angie is authentic and embodies everything this station strives to deliver to viewers. We are confident that having this unrelenting and versatile journalist working for us will enhance our evening programming and social media presence."
Most recently, Goff served as a weekend morning anchor and reporter for WRC NBC Washington DC, where she also contributed to NBC’s “TODAY” and filled in as a host for “Early TODAY” and MSNBC. Prior to that, Goff was a multi-media journalist at WUSA in Washington. Previously, she served as an investigative reporter and anchor for WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. Before that, Goff worked as a morning anchor and reporter for KMEG-TV in Sioux City, Iowa. She is the host of the recently launched weekly podcast, “The Oh My Goff Show.”
A graduate of George Mason University, Goff holds a Bachelors of Arts degree.
