Morning Anchor/Reporter

There’s no place like home!

It’s been a dream to make my way back to the D.C. area where I grew up, and I’m excited to help you get your day started as an award-winning co-anchor and reporter with FOX 5's talented morning team.

Before moving back to the DMV, I worked as an evening anchor at Richmond’s #1 station, WWBT. I also anchored late nights on FOX Richmond.  While in Central Virginia, I covered stories that made national headlines, like the tragic shooting of three University of Virginia football players and the death of Irvo Otieno, a man who died while suffering a mental health crisis in the custody of sheriff deputies. I’m deeply passionate about empowering local communities, which was a big part of my "Building a Better RVA" franchise.

Prior to Richmond, I was a weekend morning anchor and reporter at WUSA, the CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C. My most memorable stories include coverage of the historic opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), the 2017 Presidential Inauguration of Donald Trump, and an interview with Martin Luther King III ahead of the 2020 March on Washington.

My formative years include time as a multimedia journalist (MMJ) at WBOC CBS/ FOX in Salisbury, MD, and Prince George’s Community Television (CTV). I’ve worn many hats over the years, including filling in as a traffic anchor and weather forecaster. Yes…. You read that right! I love a good challenge.

I graduated from Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey New Brunswick/Piscataway where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/ Media Studies and minored in Japanese.

I’m an advocate for the ALS Association DMV Chapter, which includes Richmond. Also, I hope to raise more awareness about early detection of breast cancer.

I’m a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and spent years as a mentor for the Rutgers Alumni Mentoring Program.

I enjoy traveling, mentoring youth, and spending time with family and friends.
