Kenneth Moton is the co-anchor of Fox 5’s 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. shows. He’s also a reporter for the station after more than two decades of broadcast experience at the local and national levels. Before joining Fox 5, the award-winning journalist was a network anchor and national correspondent for ABC News.

Kenneth’s passion has always been journalism - telling stories, talking to people and reporting information to communities across the country. He has worked for years to become a trustworthy voice for viewers and his enthusiasm for the job along with his respect for people is evident in his reporting.

During his time at ABC News, Kenneth was the co-anchor of World News Now and America This Morning. The #1 early morning programs known for a mix of hard news and soft, entertainment news allowed Kenneth to show a national audience his wide range of skills as a consummate journalist with a fun side.

While based in D.C. for ABC, Kenneth jumped into covering national politics with regular assignments at the White House and on Capitol Hill. He covered several big stories including the 2015 Mother Emanuel AME Church massacre in Charleston, SC, the 2016 presidential campaign and election, natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey, the Las Vegas shooting massacre, the Haitian migrant crisis in Del Rio, TX and the January 6th riots at the Capitol. Kenneth’s duties also took him outside the U.S. covering the 2020 (2021) Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Before Kenneth made his move to national, he spent more than a decade reporting and breaking news in Philadelphia, Orlando, Raleigh, NC and Columbia, SC. These markets are where Kenneth learned the importance of cultivating sources, storytelling and community involvement.

Kenneth who lives in Maryland with his family is a South Carolina native and a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina. He fell in love with the DMV at an early age and made it his mission to return to D.C. after a middle school field trip. Kenneth interned on Capitol Hill in college and has lived in this area for years. Every evening, he looks forward to informing Fox 5 viewers about the news of the day.
