WASHINGTON - Take the cold seriously and get ready for another snow threat!
Low temperatures and bitter cold wind chills are in place and will be through the weekend.
Highs won't get out of the 30s in the D.C. region on Thursday and Friday. Over the weekend, the coldest temperatures we will have seen in about a year will set in, with temps only reaching the mid-20s on both days.
Don't be surprised to see a quick burst of snow early evening on Friday with strong winds coming later in the night.
Next week, the possibility of snow returns. Our area is currently under a Slight Risk for a snow storm threat Monday night into Tuesday. At this time, the storm looks like it will bring a rain / snow mix to the area.
