New guidelines for treating childhood obesity include surgery

Obesity impacts nearly 20% of children and teens in the U.S. New guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics now recommend surgery as an option for children as young as 13 to treat it. The group says children under 12 years old should stick with medications. FOX 5's Tisha Lewis spoke to Dr. Christina Johns, senior medical advisor, at PM Pediatrics about the new guidelines.
