HOUSTON - Surveillance cameras captured three intruders, dubbed the 'inchworm bandits,' crawling across the floor of a Houston bar where police say they stole tip money from behind the register.
Police say the incident happened at Piggy's Kitchen & Bar on Sunday.
Officers believe the three crawled on the ground to avoid security cameras. It is unclear how long they were inside the bar but police say they stole $450 in tip money belonging to the servers who worked over the weekend.
Investigators say the burglars caused $2000 worth of damage. Officers are investigating to see if the 'inchworm bandits' were involved in a similar crime at a pizzeria last week. Police are still investigating.
