Several pedestrians struck by vehicle outside DC restaurant early New Year's Day
WASHINGTON - Several pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in northwest D.C. early Friday morning as New Year's Eve celebrations came to a close.
The incident happened in front of Barcode, a restaurant located at 17th and l Street.
FOX 5's Bob Barnard said people inside of the restaurant said a car drove up onto the curb sometime around 5 a.m. and struck as many as four pedestrians. It appears the vehicle may have also struck a light pole along the street.
Police said the suspect, 25-year-old Malik Lloyd, was arrested for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision.
