FINAL WINTER HURRAH? Storm brings snow to DC area

In what may be the final winter storm of the season, snow falling in the D.C. region is brining some issues for the early morning commute on Friday.

The latest models show the Washington D.C. area receiving a dusting to 2 inches with areas south and east of the region receiving the heaviest of the snow.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for a majority of the region from 10 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday.

Flurries arrived around 7 p.m., but more vigorous snow began falling around 10 p.m. and has continued overnight.

Expect temperatures in the low 40s on Friday. The weekend should see highs from the mid-40s to low-50s.

This could be winter's last blast as a long-term forecast as we could see temperatures in the 70s by next week!

Final guess map. Jackpot zone added where heaviest bands expected. Snow is DC may be done by dawn.
