- As voters head to the polls on Election Day they may want to keep an eye on the sky.

The DC region has the potential for severe weather on Tuesday as a strong storm system makes its way east.

In the morning hours, voters can expect to see temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s but temps will begin to jump into the 60s around lunchtime.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on a storm system that could arrive in the region between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. While the system may not bring rain, it has the potential to bring severe weather, including gusty winds and perhaps tornado warnings.

The system should begin to move out of the area as we head into the evening hours and temperatures will start to dip back into the 50s.
