Local NAACP leaders share their feelings about the prospect of Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday

The U.S. House voted to establish Juneteenth as a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. The final house vote was 415 to 14. All 'no' votes in the House came from Republican members of the chamber; the U.S. Senate unanimously passed the legislation on Tuesday. The bill now goes to the President's desk where it's expected to be signed. After more than 150 years, June 19th will now be known as Juneteenth Independence day - a federal holiday - celebrating freedom. The current and former President of the Loudoun County NAACP shared their reactions with FOX 5.
