GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Caps fever is still going strong with an autograph signing by one of the team's most popular stars.
Capitals forward Devante Smith-Pelly celebrated the Washington Capitals Stanley Cup victory at Dick's Sporting Goods in Gaithersburg Wednesday evening.
In order to get an autograph from the Capitals player, fans needed to pick up a wristband at the Gaithersburg store starting Wednesday morning. There were 350 wristbands distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Autographs were limited to complimentary player cards or items purchased from Dick's Sporting Goods.
