Soccer star Kelley O'Hara of Peachtree City was a little unsteady on her feet, but laughing and joyful as she stepped down from a Blue Angel's F-18 at Falcon Field.

FOX 5 was there as O'Hara arrived back at the airport after a 45 minute ride. She told us, with hands raised in triumph as if just scoring a goal, "I didn't throw up! I didn't pass out!"

O'Hara is one of the best soccer players in the world, an Olympic Gold Medalist and a member of the Women's National team that captured the coveted World Cup in the summer of 2015. She admitted to FOX 5's Doug Evans that she was a little nervous before going up.

"After I agreed to do it, I was like, now I actually have to go up there," O'Hara said. "I was very nervous. Very excited. "

The Blue Angels are in Metro Atlanta for the Great Georgia Air Show this weekend at Falcon Field in Peachtree City. They will perform both Saturday and Sunday. O'Hara was invited to take a VIP ride, an experience she now shares with teammate Megan Rapinoe who flew with the Blue Angels after the U.S. Women's Team won the World Cup.

"She said it was amazing, but she threw up, passed out, the whole nine yards for her. And she was like, but you have to do it. So, in my mind it seems like that doesn't go hand in hand. But it was incredible."

Flying should be in her blood. Her father Dan O'Hara is a former Navy fighter pilot and now a captain with Delta Airlines. Her younger brother is training to be a Navy fighter pilot in Pensacola, Florida.

The Great Georgia Air Show runs October 31`through November 1. For more information visit the webpage: thegreatgeorgiaairshow.com
