Blair Walsh visits Northpoint Elementary to say thank you

Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh visited Northpoint Elementary School in Blaine, Minn. on Thursday to say thank you to the students who wrote letters of support following Sunday's season-ending loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Walsh has been dealing with plenty of haters since missing a 27-yard, game-winning field goal attempt, but he's also getting plenty of love.

"Kids like you are willing to do kind things like that for somebody you don't even know," Walsh told the students. "It really meant a lot to me and I just want to say thank you."

One letter from a Northpoint first grader reads: "Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. One time I made a mistake when I was doing a cartwheel. I felt embarrassed. You can still help the Vikings win the Super Bowl next year. Your fan, Sophia."

Walsh wanted to thank the Northpoint students in person. He also signed autographs and took photos.
