Where's the rain? Delay at Nationals game leaves many fans upset

- First pitch for Thursday night’s Washington Nationals game against the Atlanta Braves was set for a 7:05 p.m. start. Even though no rain fell onto the field for about two hours after the game was supposed to begin, the weather delay left many fans at the stadium perturbed.

The Nationals sent out a tweet at 6:42 p.m. announcing the delay, but there was no further information on their Twitter account about the status of the game until three hours later.

Nationals fans took their frustrations to Twitter during the so-called “rain delay," which left them wondering why the game didn't start on time as scheduled. This came one day after the Nationals game against the New York Mets was postponed due to rain.

At around 9:40 p.m., the tarp was taken off the field.

At 9:49 p.m., the Nationals announced the game would begin at 10:10 p.m.

After a more than three-hour delay, they finally played ball at Nationals Park!
