WASHINGTON - It’s official – if the Washington Nationals want to advance to the NLCS with a win on Tuesday they will have to beat three-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw.
The Los Angeles Dodgers Tweeted the announcement Tuesday afternoon. The Washington Nationals will start pitcher Joe Ross.
The Nationals took a 2-1 series lead on Monday with an 8-3 win over the Dodgers. A win today would give the Nats their first-ever playoff series victory in the 12-years of their existence.
Kershaw started in NLDS Game #1 against the Nats on Friday - a game in which the Dodgers won 4 to 3.
