Woman with 'bowtie' tattoo arrested after allegedly attacking man with knife

A woman with an unusual neck tattoo was arrested Monday after police say she threw a knife at a man during an argument in Takoma Park.

23-year-old Oluwafunmi Gbolade faces attempt 2nd degree murder, 1st degree assault and malicious destruction of property charges after the incident.

Police say Gbolade allegedly threw a knife the man during a dispute in the 6300 block of Eastern Avenue around 12:42 p.m. Monday. Gbolade fled and was later located by officers in her nearby apartment. The man, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, told police Gbolade tried to cut his throat.

In a photo released by police, Gbolade appears to have a distinctive 'bowtie' tattoo on her neck.
