ACCOKEEK, Md. - Police are searching for a vehicle they say struck and killed a woman along a highway in Prince George’s County early Friday morning.
Nefertiti Horton, 39, was struck while she was walking along northbound side of Indian Head Highway (Route 210) near Farmington Road. Officers responded to the scene at around 12:45 a.m. and found her suffering from critical injuries. Horton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers say the striking vehicle did not remain on the scene. Police have no description of the striking vehicle, but believe it has front-end damage. Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
