With approaching storm, Metro modifying bus service

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says it's watching an approaching snow storm and modifying bus and rail service as necessary.

Metro says all rail stations are expected to open at 5 a.m. Thursday with service both above and below ground. Metro says it will make every effort to maintain rail service during the storm, though weather-related delays are possible.

Metro says that all MetroAcess paratransit service will be suspended Thursday, and bus service will be modified. Metro says it will keep buses from operating on hilly terrain and narrow streets. Some bus service will be suspended while other buses will operate with detours.
