For third straight day, students in DC area schools hold post-election demonstrations

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Wednesday's protest comes one day after hundreds of students in D.C. schools walked out of class and marched to the International Trump Hotel, the U.S. Capitol, and the National Mall. A DC police officer told FOX 5's Matt Ackland on Tuesday that they estimated about 3,000 students attended the event, though only hundreds were expected.

On Monday, similar demonstrations were held in Montgomery County when hundreds of students from Montgomery Blair, Northwood, Albert Einstein and John F. Kennedy High Schools took to the streets to declare their opposition to Trump. The demonstrations were centered on the Silver Spring and Wheaton areas, and the events were peaceful. No arrests were reported.
