Friends and loved ones attended the viewing for Dick and Jody Vilardo Thursday night. The Rockville couple will be laid to rest on Friday.

Montgomery County police say they were murdered at their home sometime after returning from dinner with friends in Charles Town, West Virginia on Saturday night.

Neighbors say their daughter found them on Sunday after they failed to show up for a Mother's Day event.

Detectives believe an intruder entered through a window. They say they are following several leads, but nothing they are willing to release to the public just yet. They are asking any neighbors who live along Ridge Drive for help.

"If they have any home video surveillance systems, to check that for suspicious activity, and if they find anything, give us a call," said Montgomery County Police Capt. Paul Starks.

Neighbors are concerned about a lack of information on the motive. One man who is in the process of moving to Ridge Drive told FOX 5, "I feel this can happen anywhere, but where there's crime, there is concern. We'll just have to wait and see and be a little more careful than normal."

Anyone with information regarding the deaths of Richard and Julianne Vilardo is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police at 301-279-8000.

There is a reward of up to $10,000 in the case.
