Video of man riding moose prompts wildlife investigation

Officials in British Columbia are investigating a video posted online that shows a man jumping onto the back of a moose as it swam across an area of water.

The video posted on Saturday shows a shirtless man jumping from a moving boat onto the animal. The moose can be seen running as the boat follows closely behind.

The man jumped onto the moose when the boat was just feet away. The animal, which had made its way closer to the shore, turned back towards deeper water.

The man holds his hand up triumphantly as the animal appears to struggle under his weight.

The man falls off of the animal after about 25 seconds.

According to CTV News, conservation officers have been assigned to the case. They are trying to find out the identity of the man who jumped onto the moose and where the video was taken. The offender could face wildlife harassment charges.
