Hundreds of Christmas cards pour in for girl who lost family in arson

- Safyre Terry will have no shortage of holiday cards this year.

The 8-year-old, who lost her entire family in a fire that was intentionally set, had one wish this holiday season-- Christmas cards from around the world.

Safyre's aunt and caretaker, Liz Dodler, bought her a tree to hang holiday cards on, and when the little girl saw it, she couldn't wait to fill it up

Word quickly spread throughout the country, and cards began pouring in.

The Facebook page Safyre Schenectady's Super Survivor, which appears to be managed by Dodler, posted an update on December 11 that showed the brave girl posing with mail buckets filled to the brim with holiday cards.

Another update showed handmade cards spread out on the floor with the caption, "Oh look at this magic."

Cards for Safyre can still be sent to:

Safyre, P.O. Box 6126 Schenectady, NY 12306.
