Facebook says it needs your nude pictures to protect you against 'revenge porn'

Facebook wants you to send them naked pictures of yourself.

Yes, you heard me right.

It's part of the company’s plan to stop so-called "revenge porn." The tool requires users to send in an uncensored photo or video that you are afraid might fall into the wrong hands or be used against you. 

The operations team will analyze it with recognition software and tag it so that if someone else tries to upload the picture the system will recognize it and block it.

Critics say that while it's good that Facebook is trying to stop revenge porn postings, it's asking users to put an awful lot of trust in Facebook.

Right now the limited pilot program is being tested in the U.S., Britain, Canada, and Australia.
