Social media is buzzing about an altercation that occurred outside of a Target store in Rowland Heights, California between an elderly woman, man, and young boy selling candy.
In a video uploaded to Facebook by Andy Lizarraga, massing more than 5.6 million views and over 70,000 shares, bystanders watch a disgruntled woman demanding to see a young boy's license to sell candy.
According to Lizarrage's post, the woman "started harassing him to the point where he started crying."
Jay Lopez comes to the aid of the child and proceeds to give the woman a piece of his mind, "You should be ashamed of yourself." She responds back stating she isn't ashamed, and that she’s merely standing up for the young man.
In efforts to mitigate the quarrel, Lopez buys the entire candy supplies-- $80 worth. He then proceeds to taunt the woman. “I’m gonna buy it all, and I’m gonna give it away to all these people.”
