That's according to the acting director of the District's Department of Transportation. Leif Dormsjo (LAYF DORM-jo) told the D.C. Council on Friday that the project may be scrapped entirely. However, he says he still expects to fix the project rather than abandon it.The streetcar along H Street, Northeast, would be the District's first working trolley in more than 50 years. It has been beset by delays, and some have questioned whether the benefits will outweigh the costs.
Dormsjo says an outside review by the American Public Transportation Association will help determine whether the project has "fatal flaws."
