Thieves steal computer equipment from DC library

WASHINGTON - Police are searching for suspects who broke into and stole computer equipment from a D.C. library. The incident happened at the Woodridge Interim Library in Northeast D.C. on August 21st of this year.

Surveillance video of the incident shows two masked suspects disassembling computers and monitors that were set up on a desk inside of the library.

The suspects used bolt cutters to detach the computer equipment.

This is the second incident that occurred at the library over the summer. Police say an incident occurred in June of this year when the building's door was damaged.

The suspects appear to be male and were dressed in dark clothing. Masks were used to cover the bottom half of their faces.

Library officials say that the stolen computer equipment is programmed to only work when connected to the library system.
