Fire officials say a teenager has been rescued from a lake in Fairfax County.
Authorities say the 16-year-old boy was stranded in the middle of the lake located off of Lakepointe Drive in Burke after sliding down a snow-covered hill at a dam in the area. The boy went onto the ice, which gave way underneath him and he fell into the water.
The teenager was able to swim to a drain pipe near the dam where fire and rescue personnel were able to rescue him by boat.
