Prince William County police have arrested four suspected gang members Monday afternoon.

Police have charged 18-year-old Jonathan Leonel Aviles, 18-year-old Jason Alexis Alfaro, 18-year-old Kevin Josue Membrano-Montalvo and 22-year-old Marvin Uriel Diaz with gang participation and trespassing on school property.

Charges are also pending for a 16-year-old male juvenile.

Police say an officer on patrol observed the suspects near the track area of Stonewall Middle School in Manassas at around 1:14 p.m. After approaching the group, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana and recovered a small amount.

Officers determined the group was associated with a local gang and were then arrested.

Diaz was also charged with possession of marijuana while Aviles was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

None of the suspects were students at the middle school.
