The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a man accused of injuring a woman and then abducting a 3-month-old boy on Thursday from Motel 6 located at 17133 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries.
According to police, the victim, a 22 year old woman from New Mexico, reported to them that she had been arguing with a known acquaintance, later identified as Russell Carnell Walker, the night before.
During the fight, the woman was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.
The suspect, who was initially reported as being the father of the child, took the baby, named Zion LeBron Favors after the incident and left the area.
Favors is described as a 3 month old black male, 1'6'', and 10lbs. He has brown eyes and short brown hair. Zion was last seen wearing a diaper. The baby may be in need of assistance which qualifies him as being endangered.
Police say that the victim contacted them on Saturday,  telling them that Walker is not the father of the child.
Police issued an abduction warrant for the suspect.
The investigation continues. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspect and the infant  are asked to call police at 703-792-6500.
