Girls, 10 and 11, charged in alleged threat to kill 11-year-old classmate, police say

A 10-year-old girl and 11-year-old girl are accused of conspiring to kill a fellow student in Virginia.

Prince William County police say the victim, an 11-year-old girl, was unharmed after she said she received the threats from her classmates. All three girls are Prince William County Public Schools students.

The alleged incident happened nearly two weeks ago on April 25. Police say the victim reported the incident to school officials.

Investigators checked into the alleged threats and said they found cryptic text messages between the two suspects backing up the victim's claims.

Both girls were charged with one count of conspiracy to commit felony.
