Snowy, cold start to National Cherry Blossom Festival

Snow is falling in D.C. Friday for the start of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

The annual festival kicks off on a snowy, first day of spring.

The National Park Service predicts peak bloom will be sometime between April 11th and 14th.
The later dates may draw in more tourists, which means more money for local businesses.
The festival goes through Sunday, April 12th.
