WASHINGTON - Police responded to dozens of calls for gunshots overnight in southeast D.C., including one location where a woman says at least 15 bullets entered a woman’s home.
That incident happened before midnight at the Stanton Glen Apartments at 2501 Naylor Road. The resident told FOX 5 that she woke up to smoke and the sound of gunshots. She believes 15 shots were fired in total and some witnesses on the scene say they believe a machine gun was used. Officers say shots were also fired into another apartment unit on the 3400 block of 12th Street.
Police found multiple vehicles were fired upon and damaged along parts of the 3000 block of Stanton Road.
Officers say no injuries were reported in any of the incidents. Investigators have no suspects or motives at this time. They are on the lookout for a dark car leaving the scene of the Stanton Glen Apartments.
